Chef Lara L. Holland

Lara "Chef" Holland is most literally a farm to fork chef with 17+ years of experience in the food industry. Chef Lara was raised in California where her parents started roadside produce stands, a wholesale produce distribution, farmer's markets, and represented growers to the marketplace nationwide.  Her passion and love to help create sustainable, walkable urban areas while preserving diversity began in 1998. At the core of all things she has done, food is always present.  Her expierence with both retail and wholesale produce distribution along with her skills as a teaching chef, and background with medically necessary diets (including life threatening food allergies), and her love of diverse urban communities alligned to create UCFresh. Chef Lara lives in the heart of Atlanta today and has worked with thousands of individuals from 6-70 years of age on everything from food policy reform to helping others start their food businesses and become sustainable humans. Chef Lara started a small consulting firm in 2012 (Centered Table Co.) and built the international AllerCoach (TM) program and AllerSmartMenu (R) concept. She is also responsible for starting Farm to Fork Kids (TM). She has sat on numerous nonprofit boards in the community and worked countless hours devoted to social justice projects.
